"In 2025, the National Gendarmerie Military Academy (AMGN) will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its establishment in Melun. Since 1945, several generations of officers have graduated from this prestigious institution, long known as the National Gendarmerie Officers’ School (EOGN). The school began admitting foreign students as early as the Belle Époque, when the first academy for the force was established at the Schomberg Barracks of the Republican Guard in Paris to train its future officers.
