"Influence strategies are at the heart of the geopolitical stakes of the 21st century, because organizations, companies, and states strive to undermine or permanently hinder movements that they consider hostile or contrary to their interests. This necessity to control information leads to distinct strategic conceptions. The digital era indeed presupposes the protection of information flows and dedicated infrastructures: this issue constitutes a central element of security that can endanger the stability of states. The latter adopt different doctrines depending on the nature of the political regime. (...)"
